Michael J Wagner, PhD

Licensed Psychologist (Arizona)

Education and Training

I received my PhD in Educational Psychology and a Minor in Organizational Behavior from the University of Arizona and a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from St. Cloud State University. I received my BS in Psychology from Seattle University.

My training and experience include; EMDR, Flash Technique, CBT, DBT, prolonged exposure, narrative therapy, psychoanalytic approaches, shadow work, aging and dying, grief and loss, energy work and indigenous medicine.

The required 3,000 hours of supervised experience for my psychologist license was under the supervision of Thea Wilshire, PhD at the San Carlos Apache Tribal Wellness Center, for which I am deeply grateful.

My deepest gratitude to the Apache People who "edumakated" me.

I am a mental health professional, fifteen years as a practicing clinical psychologist, with extensive experience in treating trauma and helping individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.

My expertise in evidence-based treatments recommended by the VA and alternative approaches such as energy work and indigenous medicine can provide effective solutions for those seeking healing.

If you have served the military, my experience in this area can be particularly helpful.
